In November, Energy Edge was present at AVANCE’s “Inspiring Dreams Celebration.” AVANCE Houston is a non-profit organization with a mission to unlock America’s potential by strengthening families in at-risk communities through effective parent education and support programs. Ana Salinas, Sr. Operations and Analytics Manager for Energy Edge is on AVANCE’s Board of Directors.
Khambrel Marshall, KPRC Channel 2 Anchor, started the evening off by welcoming all attendees 
and presenting the runway “stars.” Kids were paired up with their dream career professional and together they walked down the runway. Each kid explained why they aspired to become a doctor, veterinarian, soccer player, scientist, etc., and each professional also explained who inspired them or why they chose their respective careers. Attendees were truly moved by each of the dreams and aspirations that these kids shared, and the pairs were received by all around smiles and overwhelming applause by the audience.
To close the evening, Luz Flores, Executive Director for AVANCE Houston, thanked sponsors like Energy Edge for making a difference in our community.
“This evening was very special because we not only raised funds for this worthy cause but also celebrated the future leaders of our community”, said Ana Salinas who attended the event with her husband Gustavo Gomez.
